Hello, Clients, Family, & Friends!

Happy New Year! I hope you had a fantastic holiday season filled with all the good stuff – family, friends, and all the GOOD FOOD!

 

We had a Christmas and New Year's surrounded by friends and family and continue to feel like the some of the luckiest people on earth. We made a quick trip to Las Vegas for the NFR, Cowboy Christmas and the Raiders vs. Vikings game.  The guys snuck in some skiing at Big Sky simply to get in some runs, Ilsa and I made some holiday treats and to top it all off Ilsa earned her learner's permit and is now a driver…watch out!  

 

As we say goodbye to 2023, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for allowing me to be a part of your real estate journey here in the Gallatin Valley and beyond. It's been a pleasure working with you and I'm genuinely excited about what the future holds for all of us in 2024.

What began ten years ago as a small group of farmers huddled together outside selling their winter veggies is now a successful, thriving market with a bounty of local vegetables and farm products!

The sleigh ride dinner at Lone Mountain Ranch has become legendary. Guests load up in a horse-drawn sleigh and ride to an oil-lantern-lit cabin for a family-style prime rib dinner.  Available December through April.

market update

As we await year-end data, we can start to predict what the numbers might look like based on the first 11 months of the year. Looking at what we do know, it seems as though prices leveled off and, in some cases, dipped just a touch (maybe 3-4%). However, we didn't see the price drop many folks predicted and possibly even hoped for on the buyer's side. We expect to have final numbers by mid-January, and I'll be sure to inform you on how those shake out. In other news, it still seems as though rates will come down in 2024.  Mortgage experts are predicting 3-4 rate drops throughout the year. With that said, the market will likely feel more urgency once again as some of the pent-up demand, in the form of buyers and sellers jump back into the market.
