Hello again and happy December! | I can't be the only one thinking this….but oh, boy did November ever fly by!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with family and/or friends. Ours was spent this year visiting close friends in WY, getting in some amazing down time, meeting new friends, catching up w/ old and a little bird hunting w/ Jake's 1-year-old Chesapeake "Goose". November did NOT disappoint in our household, we continued to have great fall weather in Bozeman allowing us to fit in a decent amount of horseback riding, 4-H steer work, some fishing, and somehow we've rarely seen the snow fly. Thankfully, however, the mountains have received some snow and Big Sky Resort has opened to celebrate the beginning of their 50th season. We are most definitely itching to dust off our skis and snowboards and spend some time on the slopes. Similar to last month, I've included some local events and a quick update on the market. Oh, and a quick photo of our family in Belt at the class C football championship game against Fairfield supporting our high school senior nephew, Reese. If you're up for getting hot cocoa and look through local crafts, hit me up! | | | | In November the National Association of Realtors held their annual conference in California. Current interest rates and NAR's recent lawsuit news were two items among the hot topics of the conference. While the lawsuits are ongoing and we're awaiting new rules and regulations, we're preparing for better disclosure on how buyer's agents are paid and more conversation around real estate commission altogether. With that said, I still feel strongly that it is in buyer's best interest to have their own representation while buying a home and I feel that working with the right agent is more important now, maybe than ever before. As for interest rates. While we don't have a crystal ball, we have reason to hope that rates could start to come down early 2024. By springtime, we're hoping to see them settle into 6%-7%. My fingers are crossed!
