During the second week of June 2022, the Yellowstone River made national news as it experienced historical flooding which damaged many communities throughout Park County including Livingston, Montana down Paradise Valley into the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Bridges washed out, roads were overflowing, and many homes were impacted by the fast-moving and high water levels.
