One of my favorite parts of fair week is watching the incredible dedication of our local 4-H youth. The countless early mornings, late nights, and hard work they put into their projects is truly inspiring. This year, my son Jake will be showing and selling his Black Angus steer, Ole' (#671), at the 4-H Livestock Auction on Saturday, July 18, from 4:00 PM–Midnight. After purchasing last year's steer with the proceeds from his previous project, he's continuing to learn responsibility, financial planning, and the value of hard work by saving for his future. He's also earned several accomplishments this year, including multiple Blue Ribbon awards and placing 4th overall in market steer weight and 6th overall in beef ultrasound for meat quality. Whether you're looking to support a local 4-H member by biddingat the auction or simply want to enjoy the livestock shows and fair activities throughout the week, we'd love to see you there. Your support means the world to these hardworking kids and helps them continue building skills that last a lifetime. If you're at the fair, stop by and say hello to Jake and Ole' (#671)! 💚 |
